Borge Vestre burial ground
Situated along Borgleden
At the burial ground at Borge Vestre, there are four round burial mounds. Several of them has a small pit at the top. This indicate that the mounds have been plundered.

The plundering of burial mounds are luckily not very common today. The pits at Borge Vestre are most likely almost as old as the mounds themselves. The centuries after the mounds were made, people probably knew what kind of riches could be found in the graves. At the sign near the site, you can learn more about plundering of graves and superstition around ancient graves.
