Ekeby gårdsbryggeri

After Telemarkslunden you will find the charming Ekeby farm brewery.

The starting point for the brewery is wild Hops, which spread from Værne monastery. King Sverre Sigurdsson handed over the monastery to the Order of St. John around 1190s, and the monks cultivated hops and other herbs at Værne in addition to running a hospital. The monastery period lasted until 1532.

At Ekeby, they brew with very short-traveled and local ingredients with a long historical tradition, as well as internationally recognized ingredients. They draw inspiration from both British, Belgian and American brewing traditions and offer a selection of fixed and seasonal products.
