Ekeby gårdsbryggeri

After you walk pass the Telemarkslunden you can visit Ekeby farm brewery.

The starting point for the brewery is wild Hops, which probably spread from Værne monastery nearby. King Sverre Sigurdsson handed over the place to the Order of St. John around 1190 and the monks cultivated hops and other herbs at Værne in addition to running a hospital. The monastic period lasted until 1532.

At Ekeby, they brew with very short-traveled and local ingredients with a long historical tradition, as well as internationally recognized ingredients.
