Glasslåven Kunstsenter

Between historical buildings in the beautiful cultural landscape of Hadeland lies Glasslåven. A classic red barn from the 1880s has been transformed into an art center and studio.At Glasslåven, contemporary art and crafts are displayed in three exhibition periods each year. The exhibition program focuses on high quality, diversity of artistic expressions, and a range of ages, genders, and ethnicities among the artists.In Høyloftet, with a ceiling height of seven meters, exhibitions, performances, and cultural events are held. In Stallen, where some original building elements such as the horse stalls have been preserved, there is a gallery and shop featuring art, design, and crafts.An important part of Glasslåven's soul is the environment and energy that arise from the creation and work done in the house. Studios and offices are rented out to artists, craftspeople, and cultural workers. Several of them sell their works in Stallbutikken.Glasslåven was officially opened by H. M. Queen Sonja on April 27, 2016.
