Gran farm, rectory and garden
Situated along Gudbrandsdalsleden
Gran Farm gave name to the village, churches and parish. The soil here is fertile and the area were among the first to be cleared for cultivation grains. The name, that is in related to “green” and “grain”, probably reflects fertility. As the main farm in the village, it was a parsonage through the centuries. On the farm there is a stone house from the 13th century. The farm is now private, and it’s no longer a parsonage. You’ll find the newly restored Parsonage Garden nearby.
