PILGRIM

Granavolden Hotel & Gjæstgiveri is a modern hotel and guesthouse with historical roots, located in scenic surroundings in Hadeland.

Gjæstgiveriet consists of five buildings around a charming yard, where they have preserved the historic soul while offering modern comforts. They have a total of 43 rooms with 63 beds of various sizes, from cozy single rooms to spacious double rooms. The entire yard is newly renovated and inviting, with beautiful planting, a pleasant seating staircase and light, airy common areas. Their newly renovated restaurant provides food that combines local ingredients with creativity and tradition. They offer both a pilgrimage temple and the opportunity to prepare take-away lunches for resident guests.

An inn has been run in the buildings for many hundreds of years and Granavolden has a rich history. In 1716, Gregers Granavolden was granted royal privilege to run the place as a thank you for his efforts in the Great Northern War. Gregerstua, which was once the courthouse for Hadeland from the 1600s to the mid-1900s, is today part of the hotel and contributes to the historic atmosphere.
