An old road
Situated along Gudbrandsdalsleden
The gravel road between Granavollen to Tingelstad Old Church is an old road that is narrow with steep hills.
It is difficult to determine the age of the road, but we know that it was in use already in the Middle Ages. One of the pilgrim trails to Nidaros went through here. From the 17th century onwards, the road was referred to as the Bergenske King's road and is one of the main roads between the capital and Bergen. Until the 18th century the road could only be used for riding and walking.
