Middelalderbyen Oslo and Oslo Ladegård

Medieval Oslo is the historic area of the first location of Oslo, from the 11th century to 1624. This is the largest ruin park in the nordic countries. At Oslo Ladegård you will find information about the area and how it is being developed into a place where people can experience cultural heritage, events and meeting places.

All Sundays in June, July and August from 11am - 3pm.

The visitor centre for Medieval Oslo is located in the side wing of Oslo ladegård in Oslo gate 13. It is free and open to the public on Sundays in June, July and August. Opening hours are 11:00-15:00.

At the visitor centre you can see the exhibition "Discover the Medieval City". Next door in the Bishop's Room is the Time Machine with the digital visualisation of Medieval Oslo and takes you back to 1324.

Oslo Ladegård also has a cosy dining "Ladegården Kro".
