An interesting and historic place in Visnes

This accommodation was originally a carpenter workshop from when the copper plant was active.

In Visnes you can still see residential houses and remains of the mining facilities from the golden era of copper production in the area.

Magasingården is on of the buildings that have been listed as protected.

Today you can visit Visnes Mining Museum to get an insight into the mining activity in the area. There you can see exhibitions in different buildings that tells the story of a unique mining society that for many years was the most thriving and modernized society in the country.
