Pilgrim boat to Trondheim and Tautra 2026

Travel by a new pilgrim boat, a RIB , between Tautra(Frosta) and Trondheim in the season of 2026. The boat will drive in the period from the 12. Juni until the 17. August, twice a week, monday and friday, at 10 a.m. from Tautra and at 11 a.m. from Trondheim. You have to order the boat-trip in advance by contacting the operator at Havbris before 6 p.m. the day before your planned boat-trip. And it will be required to have orders from at least 4 passenger before 6 p.m. the day before if the boat-trip should actually be performed. The boat-trip is not only a practical way of travelling at the start of the last leg in to Trondheim, it is also a very beautiful experience to sail the fjord and the coastline. If you’re travelling from Frosta at a time when boat transport isn't available, you can book more flexible transportation with AtB (i.e. a taxi for the price of a bus ticket) from Frosta to Åsen Railway Station, and then take the train from Åsen station to Trondheim, or choose to leave the train before (at Ranheim og Rotvoll Station), and walk the last distance to the Nidaros Cathedral

Price:

NOK 750 per pilgrim (max 12 persons and min 4 persons), NOK 150 per bike (limit is 4 bicycles) and NOK 50 pr suitcase/large backpack on the regular departures.

St. Olavsleden is marked both ways between Stiklestad and Trondheim. Why not start your journey in Trondheim and walk or cycle the other way?
