Rein Church

In 1888, the original Rein church was demolished. The writer Johan Bojer, who was a boy at the time, promised mother Randi that one day he would build a new church. Johan Bojer was later to be right in this, and in 1932 the new Rein church was built with the initiative and funds of Johan Bojer. On 24 August 1932, "Bojerkjerka" was consecrated and mother Randi, who had cried because the church bells would never again be heard in the village, now rang the church bells for holidays herself.
