Few churches are as beautifully situated as Selje Church, surrounded by mountains and fjords, sky and sea.
Selje church is a long wooden church that is located north of Seljesanden in Selje municipality. The church, which has 500 seats, was inaugurated on 13 May 1866 by Bishop Peder Hersleb Graah Birkeland. Architect Frederik Hannibal Stockfleth made the drawings.
Selje church is the parish church for Selje parish and the main church in Selje parish.
