St. Johannes Apostle and Evangelist congregation is located at Bredtvet Church in Groruddalen. The church building, that is owned by The Church of Norway, is an active from 1977 that was built on the site where Hans Nilsen Hauge's farm stood. When the Catholic Church was allowed to rent the church, it was decided to give the congregation the name "St. Johannes", partly to keep this memory alive, since "Hans" is a Norwegian variant of "Johannes".
