Artwork - "Enmannsstien"

Situated along Gudbrandsdalsleden
"Enmannsstien" means the One-man-trail. The art installation is made by artists Elin Melberg, Martina Andersson and Elin Viléus Henricson. It is located at Apelsvoll in Toten.

The artwork is part of the project Tankeplass (meaning place of thought), see all the Tankeplass artworks here.

This installation is inspired by the colors and shapes of the undulating cultural landscape and the sky vault. The 15-meter-long walkway made of cast concrete modules emphasizes the path as an elevated line in the landscape before it ends in a simple staircase down to the ground again.

The side surfaces are covered with detailed and pixelated mosaic images on acrylic mirrors that make the viewer and the environment part of the artwork. In collaboration with the landowner, the Center for Precision Agriculture – NIBIO Apelsvoll, the artists are also responsible for sowing a newly developed, indigenous wildflower meadow in the area around the sculpture.
