The farm Tuv

Situated along Gudbrandsdalsleden
Originally Tuv was one single farm, but from the middle of the 18th century it was divided, and now there are three farms called Tuv. The word Tuv means a peak. The farm has a panoramic view over the cultural landscape.

In the 17th century, two of the owners of the farm Tuv were police officers (fogd in Norwegian) and the place was called fogdegard. One of the officers was Anders Olufsen Tuv - one of his descendants still owns one of the Tuv-farms.
