Utstein Pilgrim Hostel

Utstein Pilgrim Hostel is originally a closed-down, charming school building located in scenic surroundings just north of Stavanger. Here you will find unique nature right by the ocean, with many great hiking opportunities. On clear days, you can see half of Rogaland from these spot.

Utstein Pilgrim Hostel is simply and invitingly furnished. All rooms have a private bathroom, and homemade food is served.

At the Pilgrim Hostel, pilgrims can get their passport stamped. There is a strong wish here to provide an atmosphere where guests can experience silence and peace, and reflect on what gives people courage and hope in life.

In the summer, the Pilgrim Hostel serves as a guesthouse for pilgrims throughout the school holidays. During the rest of the year, Utstein Pilgrim Postel hosts a variety of events, but pilgrims are always welcome when there is available capacity. We recommend that our guests book accommodation well in advance due to limited space.

The Pilgrim Hostel is within a short walking distance of the 1,000-year-old Utstein monastery, the Mastravarden ridge, Fjøløy lighthouse, and Fjøløy fortress.

At Utstein Pilgrim Hostel you will be offered a made-up bed and good homemade food.
