Elgåfoss is located on the border between Norway and Sweden and is a great starting point for those who want to follow the pilgrim path through the country.

Elgåfoss on the Norwegian side is the starting point for the 190 km long Borgleden, a trail with deep historical roots from both ancient and modern times.

Elgåfoss is Østfold's highest unregulated waterfall and has a drop height of 46 meters.

At the waterfall, you can see the remains of the buildings to a tenant farmer from 1859, with timber operations, sawmills and mills.
