Hiking along Sunnivaleia between Kinn and Selje

Day 0. Saturday, June 21.
Meet at Kinn Hotel in Florø. Check-in from 2 pm .

Day 1. Sunday, June 22
Florø-Kinn – Florø – Smørhamn.
Boat to Kinn – church service in Kinnakyrkja – walk around the island – return to Florø – onward by express boat to Smørhamn. Mostly terrain.

Day 2. Monday, June 23
Smørhamn – Ryland – Hauge. About 20 km. About as much asphalt as terrain.

Day 3. Tuesday, June 24
Hauge - Oldeide - Måløy - Fjordly . 16 km to Oldeide.
Hike to Oldeide, mostly terrain, some asphalt. Ferry at 1515 from Oldeide to Måløy.
Bus direct from Måløy to Fjordly on Totland. Accommodation at Fjordly .
Day 4. Wednesday, June 25
Totland – Rimstaddalen – Berstad/Selje. 18 km. A couple of km on asphalt, otherwise off-road.
Car transport to Ervik at the far end of Stadlandet. Accommodation in Ervik
Day 5. Thursday, June 26
Quiet day in Ervik. To Hovden, Ervik church, West Cape.

Day 6. Friday, June 27
Ervik - Dragseidet - Selje.
Car transport to Dragseidet ( approx. 10 km). The old church road over the mountain to Selje. Off-road to Liseth, 2 km asphalt to Selje centre.

Day 7. Saturday, June 28
Boat to Selja. Hiking on Selja from Bø to Selja monastery . Church service in Sunnivahelleren . Terrain. Closing dinner in Selje vicarage.

Sunday, June 29
Since public transport from Selje is difficult on Saturday afternoon, accommodation until Sunday is included in the price. Express boat leaves from Selje to Bergen on Sunday at 1510.
There may be minor changes to the program.
Price and registration
Price: NOK 8000. Of these, NOK 1000 as soon as possible, and 7000 before June 1st.
Guides: Jorund Levorstad and Norwegian/German Steinar Pettersen. Priest is also present.
The Pilgrim Community Sta. Sunniva is not an official tour organizer, and therefore this is not an organized tour in the tourism sense. It is the usual arrangement for pilgrimage walks. This means that everyone goes at their own risk. If an accident or mishap should occur, everyone is responsible for themselves and must take care of their own possible insurance. How to get to Florø and from Selje
There is an airport in Florø, operated by Danish Air Transport.
Daily bus departures Oslo - Florø, operated by VY, possibly with local bus on the route Førde - Florø
Express boat from Bergen at 0800 and 1630 on weekdays. Saturday and Sunday only one departure, at 1415 on Saturday and 1630 on Sunday. Hurtigruten also stops in Florø and Måløy.
How to get from Selje:
The express boat from Selje takes an hour and a half to Florø, 5 hours to Bergen. The boat leaves for Bergen on Sunday at 3:10 PM and Monday (all weekdays) at 6:50 AM and 3:15 PM. Saturday only at 6:50 AM .
Day and night bus daily from Måløy to Oslo
Other information
Daily routine: Breakfast at 8 am. Brief gathering before departure. Hiking start at 9 am.
Lunch must be made at breakfast, thermoses must be filled.
Pilgrimage atmosphere: 2-3 short gatherings per day with song, Bible reading and prayer. - NB! Voluntary.
The group walks in silence and reflection for the first hour after departure. Otherwise, the first half hour after a stop with a spiritual touch is quiet.
It is perfectly legal to say if you wish to leave in peace without this.
Times during the hike are approximate, excluding coastal boat and ferry times.
What's included:
Sleeping bag. Daypack. Larger bag or suitcase.
Shoes for terrain and shoes for asphalt.
Plasters. Insect and tick repellent. Towel. Raincoat! A hairdryer is good for drying shoes. Optional washing powder for hand washing clothes, clothespins or safety pins. Sandals or light shoes for evening wear.
Good wind and rainproof clothing. A hat is traditional pilgrim equipment and can be useful.
The terrain is rough at times, and poles are strongly recommended.
