Blå = Middels

Dette er turer som passer for deg som har grunnleggende turferdigheter og er i normal fysisk form.

Rød = Krevende

Turer merket med rødt passer for erfarne turgåere, med god utholdenhet. Turene krever ofte gode tursko og annet turutstyr, samt kunnskap om kart og kompass.

Svart = Ekstra krevende

Dette er turer passer for erfarne fjellfolk, med god fysikk, styrke og utholdenhet. Godt turutstyr og gode kunnskaper om kart og kompass er nødvendig på slike turer.

Hvor krevende en tur er bestemmes blant annet av antall høydemeter (stigning) og lengde på turen. Selv om turen går i flatt terreng, kan den merkes med rødt dersom den er veldig lang. Og motsatt, selv om turen er kort, kan den merkes med svart dersom den går i bratt og krevende terreng.

Day 1 Arrival Lillehammer

Day 2 (20 km) Lillehammer to Øyer

Gudbrandsdalsleden goes through Lillehammer and out of the city through Storhove, an old place dated back to the time of the vikings.

From Storhove the path goes on to fåberg and further to Hafjell and Øyer.

Hafjell was an olympic site during the winter games in 1994.

Day 3 (15 km) Øyer - Tretten

The path start uphill from Hafjell and this strech goes up in the hillside. here you find the remains of the old Skåe church from the 14th centry.

The path follows the old tracks Tjodvegen. Through old forest and over Kløv to the remains of Kjørkjehaugen.

Day 4 (25 km) Tretten - Ringebu

Down the valleyside and down to the river Laagen. Passing through Mageli, Krekke and Fåvang village. In Fåvang you can choose to rest at Nordrum farm, they offer accommodation.

After Høgkleiva the path goes through Ringebu stavechurch.

Day 5 (15km) Ringebu - Hundorp

From Ringebu Gudbrandsdalsleden goes further north up and over the river Frya, then through a forest of pinetrees before Dale-Gudbrands gard.

Here you find the place Olav Haraldsson - Holy Olav met Gudbrand of Dale in 1021 and brought christianity to the valley.

Day 6 (7 km) Hundorp - Harpefoss

A day for a short walk. A time for reflection and slow tourism.

Visit Sør-Fron church and enjoy the landscape before arriving Sygard Grytting. An old historical farm dated back to the 13th centry. Here you canm sleep in a building where pilgrims slept in the midages.

Or follow the path for 4 more km uphill to the small farms of Skar.

Day 7 (24 km) HArpefoss - Kavm

High up in the hills goes the St Olav ways, crossing over the highest point of the path in Gudbrandsdalen - 700 m over sea level.

Great view towards the mountain of Jotuheimen. Some up and down, through forest and passing small farms before arriving Kvam

Day 8 (16km) Kvam - Sjoa

Gudbrandsdalsleden out of Kvam over the river and up throgh the forest. Uphill to Norde Løften before down to Dalum.

After Dalum you passing through a new forest area before you see Varphaugen gård and arriving Sjoa.

Day 9 (24 km) Sjoa - Nord Sel

This strech offers a varety of landscape and the terrain is up and down the first part then completly flat the next part.

From Sjoa the path goes up to a viewpoint, where you see Otta in the north. Down to Otta before entering Selsvollanae and 16 km of straight forward terrain. The strech ends at Nord Sel

You can choose to stop and sleep in Otta after 9 km.

Day 10 (16 km) Nrd Sel - Dovre

From the flat area of Selsvollane up towards the mountain of Dovrefjell.

Through narrow area in Rosten before opens up in to Dovre. After Dovre Gudbrandsdalsleden goes up and over the mountain Dovre towards Nidaros and Trondheim.

Lillehammer at start has several possibilities for arrival. By train or bus. Train from Oslo Airport every hour.

From Dovre at the end. There are some buses and some train, but only to times a day.
